Timeline

I think that I've had a relatively quick application process, less than a year from application submission to invitation! Not bad, not bad.

I know that us Future Peace Corps Volunteers like to compare our timelines; so here's mine:

November - December 2012: Researched the crap out of the Peace Corps, and decided I wanted to serve.

January - March 2013: Worked on my application, re-started a couple of times because I forgot to log in so it expired, and wrote and revised my essays.

April 1, 2013: Application Submitted!

April 2, 2013: Health History Form Received!

April 17, 2013:
References Received!

May 15, 2013: First Interview with the PSU Peace Corps Rep

May 21, 2013: Second, follow-up interview with the regional recruiter

June 7, 2013: NOMINATION. Sector: Education Departure Date: April 2014

June 12, 2013: Received Legal Kit!

June 26, 2013: Legally Cleared!

September 5, 2013: Education Questionnaire received! Sent back September 6, 2013.

November 5, 2013: Email from Education Desk saying that my file was passed on to a placement specialist and I should hear something relatively soon.

December 17, 2013: Final interview with Placement officer, unofficially officially invited! No country or sector because of holiday vacations, but it should be emailed the first week of January!

January 2, 2014: INVITATION. Madagascar, June 10th, Secondary English Teaching.
